謙虚な人が側にいると心は明るくなります。
高慢な人が側にいると心は暗くなります。
プライドといえば聞こえは良いが、プライドとは「偉い心」と辞書には書いてあります。

自分が偉いものだと思うと自分は良い気分になれますが、周りは暗くなります。
プライドが高いと、「自分が悪かった」とか、「自分が間違っていた」とは言えなくなるものです。

有名な会社で働くとプライドが高くなりがちです。
日本航空は世界で有名な航空会社でしたが、あまりにも事故が多く続くために、原因を分析した結果、
今後はミスをした人を攻めるのではなく、「何が起きたのか」「なぜミスをしたのか」「システムのどこが悪いのか」
ということを会社で徹底的に研究するようにして「ミスの責任を問わない」ことになったといいます。これは世界的な流れであるとも言われています。

ミスを隠し、庇いあって報告をしなかったら、会社は必ず倒れます。
プライドを守りあうよりも、「私はバカでした」と平気で言える謙虚さの方がはるかに助け合いの心が育っていくのではないでしょうか。

A modest person makes people happy.
A haughty person makes people disappointed.
Pride, it sounds good, but it means “mind of great or high-ranking” on the dictionary.
When a person starts thinking he is great, he feels good.
However, other people feel unhappy.

If a person is overproud, he will not be able to say “sorry.”
A person working famous and big company tends to be overproud.
Japan Airlines Corporation (JAL) is one of the famous airline companies.
JAL has had several airplane accidents, so researched and analyzed the cause of the accidents.
As a result, JAL didn’t blame an employee of making mistakes, but researched “What happened?”
“Why the accidents occurred?” “Was there any problem on the system?”
These ideas changed the policy of JAL, and the world is changing to the stream today.

If a company hides the problems and doesn’t report it, it will collapse.
I think modest mind is more important then protecting pride.
